PRESS RELEASE

Children’s Author Discusses Kids’ Emotions with Army Wives

Janan Cain, the Chicago-area author/illustrator of the best-selling The Way I Feel (Seattle: Parenting Press, www.parentingpress.com), will discuss children’s emotions on Army Wife Talk Radio, www.armywifenetwork.com, on Monday, Oct. 19. She’s scheduled to speak starting at 9:05 p.m. Eastern time.

Now available in both English and Spanish editions, The Way I Feel shows and describes such emotions as fear, boredom, pride, shyness, excitement, anger and jealousy. Recommended by several public broadcasting stations, the book has drawn praise from parents, teachers, mental health professionals, pediatric clinics and those who work with the autistic. The Way I Feel is also used in hospices and shelters.

Army Wife Network, created by two military wives, offers programs that are designed to motivate, inspire and empower spouses of troops. Its programs are archived on the web site, so if you miss Cain on Oct. 19, you can listen to her later.
