About Shari Steelsmith

Shari Steelsmith has written or co-authored 10 books. Among them are Peekaboo . . . and Other Games to Play with Your Baby, Go to Your Room!: Consequences That Teach, and the board book series, Feelings for Little Children Series, which includes: When You're Happy and You Know It, When You're Mad and You Know It, When You're Silly and You Know It, and When You're Shy and You Know It.

She holds a degree in English Literature from Seattle Pacific University, in Seattle, Washington. After a decade of editing children's and parenting books, she is now a freelance writer of books and articles on family, parenting, and educational topics.

Steelsmith and her husband are the parents of three children, now in elementary, middle and high school. All of her books are first tested on her children, who give very honest feedback! A native to the Pacific Northwest, Steelsmith and her family now live and work near Mt. Rainier in Washington state.
