Early Childhood Experts Across U.S. Fourteen early childhood experts are among those who contributed to the just-published Leader's Guide for How Much Is Enough? Everything You Need to Know to Steer Clear of Overindulgence and Raise Likeable, Responsible and Respectful Children — From Toddlers To Teens. Written by Jean Illsley Clarke, a Plymouth MN parent educator; Connie Dawson, a Langley and Kirkland WA therapist; and David J. Bredehoft, who chairs the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department at Concordia University, St. Paul, How Much Is Enough resulted from the trio's research of how overindulging children can cause problems in these individuals' adult relationships and parenting practices. The Leader's Guide was created by Clarke for parent educators and others who want ready-to-use or easy-to-adapt materials for parenting classes, PTA meetings and other presentations. In traditional format, it is a 365-page binder with 74 ready-to-reproduce handouts and posters and dozens of exercises for interactive sessions, all thoroughly field-tested by dozens of professionals in several different countries. Retail price is $299.00, with discounts available for members of early childhood education associations. The downloadable PDF edition is $150.00.
