About Elizabeth Crary, M.S.
She has also created children's books to help kids of all ages develop social skills and handle their emotions. She teaches parenting with North Seattle Community College and independently. Frequently requested as a speaker for parenting and professional groups across the United States and Canada, Crary has a gift for presenting solid, practical information in an enjoyable way. A theme running through her work is "the more ways a person has to handle a problem, the more likely they will find something that will work well for all involved" whether that person is a grownup or a child. This philosophy is evident in her new book Dealing with Disappointment: Helping Kids Cope When Things Don't Go Their Way. In this book she offers parents a variety of ways to handle children's disappointment and teach children to eventually calm themselves. |
