Feeling Elf Poster

by Peaco Todd

Twenty feeling elves dance, frown and smile to help your kids identify their feelings. They are the same 20 elves in the Feeling Elf Cards & Games. You can frame the poster, hang it on the refrigerator, or spread it out on the floor.

Kids of all ages enjoy the feeling elves. Share amusing or interesting stories of how your kids use the poster and we will share them with others.

The Feelings Changing Game

Material:
An elf poster, tape, one disposable picture for each person including yourself, a small flat magnet for each person, scissors, and glue.

Preparation:
Tape the poster to the refrigerator. Cut one child’s face out of the picture and glue it to the magnet. Repeat for the other pictures.

Activity:

  1. When your kids are present, take the magnet with your face on it and put it next to the feeling elf whose feeling is most similar to yours. Say, “I’m feeling ______.”
  2. Give each of your children the magnet with his or her face on it. Ask the children to put their face magnet on the elf that has a similar feeling to theirs.
  3. Tell them that feelings change, and invite them to come back and change the position of their face magnet when their feelings change.
