Shari Steelsmith

Shari Steelsmith has written or co-authored eleven books. Among them are Go to Your Room!: Consequences That Teach, Peekaboo . . . and Other Games to Play with Your Baby, and the board book series, Feelings for Little Children, which includes: When You’re Happy and You Know It, When You’re Mad and You Know It, When You’re Silly and You Know It, and When You’re Shy and You Know It.

She holds a degree in English Literature from Seattle Pacific University, in Seattle, Washington. After a decade of editing children’s and parenting books, she is now a freelance writer of books and articles on family, parenting, and educational topics.

Steelsmith and her husband are the parents of three school-aged children. All of her books are first tested on her children, who give very honest feedback! She lives with her family in Bonney Lake, WA, a small town near Mt. Rainier.
